Day 5 & 6 of PBHOT62: Between Story Time and visiting with family, yesterday got away from me. But that just means I got to read two lovely picture books today! I started with a delicious party, stretched out beside my mother-in-law's lovely garden. The birds were singing, the flowers delightful and the freshly picked strawberries heavenly! My reading of THE TEA PARTY IN THE WOODS, by Akiko Miyakoshi, even attracted a furry friend to the party. Following the party, I tiptoed through the garden along the stone path. I read HOW TO BEHAVE AT A TEA PARTY by Madelyn Rosenberg and illustrated by Heather Ross. I learned that I did not follow the rules while "partying" by the garden (I didn't dress up. I invited the dog. And I didn't even drink tea!).
